Startorus Fusion is among China’s first batch of fusion energy startups. The company now has a nearly 180-member team led mainly by Tsinghua University graduates and is building a 50,000-square-meter R&D base. Adopting the repetitive reconnection spherical tokamak technical route, it has completed and successfully operated SUNIST-2 in cooperation with Tsinghua University, making breakthrough progress in key technologies such as stable confinement of high-temperature plasma and magnet system optimization.
