On the morning of September 8, the “2024 Pujiang Innovation Forum – Unicorn Innovation and Development Forum” was held in Songjiang, Shanghai. The forum's theme was “Focusing on Unicorn Enterprise Development to Compose a New Chapter of Productive Power”. Chen Rui, CEO of Startorus Fusion, was invited as one of the corporate representatives and delivered a keynote speech on “Controlled Nuclear Fusion and Its Commercialization Practice”.
The forum was co-organized by the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, under the guidance of the Songjiang District People’s Government of Shanghai, the Great Wall Enterprise Institute, and the Shanghai Institute for Science of Science. Over 200 guests attended the forum, including representatives from unicorn enterprises nationwide, investment institutions, economic experts, and government officials.
Chen Rui, CEO of Startorus Fusion, delivered a keynote speech titled “Controlled Nuclear Fusion and Its Commercialization Practice” as a corporate representative. In his speech, Chen Rui provided a detailed introduction to Startorus Fusion’s core technologies and R&D achievements in the field of controlled nuclear fusion, as well as its exploration and experience in commercialization practices. He emphasized that the commercialization of controlled nuclear fusion requires not only continuous technological breakthroughs but also close cooperation and joint efforts across the entire industry chain. He called for more companies, research institutions, and government departments to focus on and support the development of controlled nuclear fusion technology, advancing the commercialization process of this field together.
The successful hosting of this forum not only provided a platform for unicorn enterprises to showcase themselves and exchange collaborations but also injected new momentum into the promotion of regional economic and industrial development, contributing to the writing of a new chapter in high-quality development. In the future, as more unicorn enterprises rise and grow, it is expected that China will take even firmer steps toward technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
