As one of the representatives of domestic commercial fusion enterprises, Startorus Fusion has won wide attention at the Hi-tech Fair by virtue of its forward-looking fusion technology. During the exhibition, leaders of Department of Commerce, Science and Technology Bureau, colleges and universities, and fusion-related industrial companies from 16 provinces and cities, including Guangdong, Hebei, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Tianjin and Xi’an, visited Startorus Fusion to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s exploration and breakthroughs in the field of fusion energy. Tan Yi, the chief scientist of Startorus Fusion, received them and made a detailed introduction.
Tan Yi said that controllable nuclear fusion technology is expected to bring nearly unlimited, clean, safe and cheap energy to mankind, thus triggering a subversive change in the energy structure. In the global research and development of controllable nuclear fusion, Tokamak magnetic confinement fusion route has attracted much attention. The compact repetitive reconnection controlled fusion technology route adopted by Startorus Fusion stands out with the characteristics of simplicity, efficiency and economy.
Subsequently, Tan Yi listed in detail the company’s milestone achievements in the past two years: it took only 279 days to complete the construction of the spherical Tokamak and obtain the first plasma, and achieved breakthroughs in magnetic reconnection heating, multi-stroke repetitive operation and plasma configuration optimization. At the same time, he also shared the company’s future development plan and introduced the next generation of apparatus currently being designed and built.
At the exhibition site, Startorus Fusion also demonstrated fruitful achievements in technology transformation, including self-developed high-bandwidth and high-isolation signal isolation amplifiers, conventional signal isolation amplifiers, integrators and other signal conditioning equipment, as well as Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), Ion Doppler Spectroscopy (IDS), electrostatic probe controller, high temperature superconducting magnet multi-physical field precise monitoring system and other diagnostic and monitoring systems closely related to the operation or physics research of fusion apparatus. These self-developed fusion derivatives have entered the stage of application and promotion, which not only highlights Startorus Fusion’s deep technology accumulation in the field of fusion, but also reflects the company’s positive efforts in promoting the commercial application of fusion energy.
During the exhibition, Chen Rui, CEO of Startorus Fusion, was invited to attend the meeting with the leaders of Shenzhen Municipal Government. Qin Weizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Tao Yongxin, Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, and other leaders attended. Representatives of 12 enterprises, including China Electronics Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, jointly participated in the meeting.
