On the morning of June 30, Hao Mingjin, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association, led a research team to China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) to conduct a special investigation on “Promoting the high-quality development of China’s nuclear power industry and providing safe and reliable energy security for Chinese-style modernization”.

As one of the two experts in this research group, Chen Rui, the founder of Startorus Fusion, attended the research activities.

At the symposium, Chairman Hao Mingjin stressed that we should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on national energy security and his important instructions to the nuclear industry and CNNC, understand the essence of the spirit and implement it well.

It is hoped that CNNC will play a leading role in the industry, create a source of original technology, establish an industrial technology innovation consortium, build a globally competitive nuclear power industry system, enable the high-quality development of China’s nuclear power industry, and provide a safe and reliable energy guarantee for the modernization of China.

Shen Yanfeng, secretary of the Party Secretary and chairman of CNNC, introduced the development process of the nuclear industry and the current situation of China’s nuclear power development. He said that CNNC will thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions, give full play to the leading role of leading cadres, the fighting fortress role of grass-roots Party organizations and the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members, enhance the core functions of serving the national strategy, enhance core competitiveness, compose a new chapter of high-quality development of nuclear industry in the new era, and make new and greater contributions to speeding up the construction of a nuclear power and promoting Chinese-style modernization.

Before the symposium, the research team visited the exhibition hall of “Hualong One” scientific and technological innovation achievements, and deeply understood the development process of China’s independent third-generation nuclear power technology “Hualong One” and the nuclear power industry of China Nuclear Group.
